When an exercise is unclear: 4 things to check before you start

Pausing before an exercise to look at the instructions again.

Between two appointments, an exercise can suddenly seem less clear than it did during treatment. Open it in your program before you start instead of guessing from memory.

Check four points: the starting position, the direction of movement, the pace and the number of repetitions or the duration. If there's a video or step-by-step images, look at them again. You can open the instructions again at any time; that's what they're there for.

Don't compare the movement with a perfect recording, but with what your practice discussed with you. If something looks different or doesn't feel right, stop and note down your question for the next appointment.

The app complements personal instruction but doesn't replace it. If you're unsure, your practice can help and adjust the instructions or the program together with you.
