What's New

All the latest improvements and new features at a glance.

July 2026

Readable Text and Visible Card Edges

Secondary text and small state icons now meet accessibility contrast standards in both light and dark mode. Card borders that were effectively invisible against their own fill in dark mode are visible again, and loading placeholders no longer shimmer backwards.

Large Titles and iPad Layout

Activity, More and Programs now use large iOS titles that collapse as you scroll, making it clearer which screens are starting points. On iPad, Activity uses both columns instead of leaving half the screen empty.

Activity Entries Land on the Right Day

Tapping a day in the calendar now opens the entry form on that day. It previously opened on today, so an entry could be logged against the wrong date with no sign it had happened.

Dark Mode and One Voice on the Website

The website now follows your system's light or dark appearance and supports Increase Contrast. It also speaks to you the same way the app does in every language, with legal documents in neutral, impersonal wording.

Accurate Privacy Policy

The privacy policy now describes exactly what the app and website store, no longer claims crash reporting that captures screen contents, and cites current law. The app and website versions are kept identical automatically.

Offline Exercise Media

Saved programs now open exercise images and videos from the offline cache instead of requiring a network round trip first. PDF handouts are also dramatically smaller and include repetitions, break time and full duration detail.

Security and Privacy Fixes

Invite acceptance is now enforced server-side so your health data cannot be read by other accounts. Community exercise reports work again, and the privacy policy discloses RevenueCat as a payment sub-processor.

Accessibility Improvements

Reduce Motion is honoured across the app, VoiceOver reads the wellbeing and activity charts, PhysioAI announces when an answer is ready, and buttons and labels scale with your system text size instead of clipping.

Reliability and UX Polish

Workout history no longer gets permanently stuck syncing, profile saves show errors instead of fake success, long lists stop showing stale results after fast scrolling, and touch feedback is consistent across buttons and rows.

Website Overhaul

The website now has proper SEO metadata in all seven languages, readable contrast and focus states, security headers, responsive layouts, locale-specific URLs, and faster loading with hashed asset caching.

Android Reminders and Store Links

Reminders now work on Android 13 and newer with the correct notification permission, and French and Italian pages no longer link to a dead App Store listing.

PDF Handouts Include Every Image

Sharing an exercise with three or more images now produces a handout with all of them. Previously the PDF silently dropped every image on those exercises.

Error Messages You Can Actually Read

A shared error component was rendering its text at zero width, so failures in Your Plan, Profile and Settings showed a broken row instead of an explanation. Errors now state what went wrong and offer a retry.

Text Layout Fixes Across the App

Program names, the PhysioAI card, the Pro feature list and the language filter no longer break mid-word or collapse to one letter per line. Most visible in German and Dutch, and at larger accessibility text sizes.

Dark Mode and Onboarding Polish

Modal title bars now match the sheet they sit on instead of appearing as a black band, the fade above Profile no longer smears grey, and onboarding artwork is centred rather than stopping halfway down the screen. Home also hides section headings that have nothing under them.

Workout Session Improvements

See a live-updating estimated duration while customizing a workout, jump directly to any exercise in the session, use an explicit info button on the current exercise card, and track a pain/difficulty rating alongside your mood at the end of a workout.

Streaks and Trends on Home

Home now shows a streak indicator for consecutive days of completed workouts, and Activity stats show how you're trending against your own recent history.

More Reliable Taps and Loading States

The role-switch dialog, Start Workout, home quick-action tiles, and recent workout tiles now show loading states and block accidental double-taps or duplicate navigation.

Community and Accessibility Polish

Adding or publishing a Community exercise now gives haptic feedback, you can re-read the Community Code of Conduct anytime from Settings, and several screen-reader labels and error states were corrected across the app.

Community Exercises

Browse, search, and filter exercises shared by other therapists, quick-add them to your own library, and publish your own exercises to share back — with offline caching, deep links, and a badge for new content. You can also report inappropriate exercises.

Dark Mode Fixes

Cards, buttons, the app bar title, tab bar, modals, chips, and text inputs now render correctly in dark mode instead of showing light-mode colors on a dark background.

Tap a Calendar Day to See What You Logged

Tapping a day in the activity calendar that already has an entry now shows what you logged that day instead of an empty form, and workout duration now correctly reflects sub-minute and multi-round exercises.

Clearer Feedback on Errors

PhysioAI, onboarding, and the workout hint card now explain what went wrong and offer a way to retry instead of failing silently.

More Reliable Forms & Sharing

Confirm-password now revalidates as you edit, clearing a pass name no longer keeps the old name behind the scenes, and selecting invites to share stays in sync with what's shown on screen.

Clearer Sign-In After a Session Expires

If your session expires, signing back in no longer opens on top of a stuck screen — you get one clean sign-in step and land back where you were.

More Accessible Everyday Controls

Card actions, the invite share link, and workout steppers and video controls are now easier to tap and are properly announced by VoiceOver. Profile details and screen titles also stay clear and readable at large accessibility text sizes.

Clearer Help When Microphone Access Is Denied

If you deny microphone access while recording a voice note, Physiopass now explains why it's needed and gives you a direct way to enable it in Settings.

More Reliable QR Program Import

Retrying a scanned program import after a failure no longer duplicates your exercises.

PhysioAI Safety Notice & Daily Allowance

Before your first PhysioAI question, you confirm a short safety notice. PhysioAI also has a daily question allowance, with a clear message if Jana is busy or temporarily unavailable.

More Reliable Workout Timing

The screen stays awake during a workout, and timing keeps counting correctly even if you background the app or the screen locks — the workout catches up to the right exercise or break.

Faster Launch & Clearer Filters

App launch no longer hangs on the splash when the network is slow. Exercise filters match whole tags more reliably, and primary buttons look consistent across the app.

Passes & Community Polish

Editing a pass on two devices no longer overwrites each other. Deleting an exercise removes it from every pass that used it, and community publishing is open to anyone with a real account.

Home & Activity UI Polish

Home quick-action labels stay fully visible, the More screen footer aligns cleanly with the tab bar, and the Add Activity exercise picker matches the other form fields.

Confirm Before Importing a Scanned Program

Scanning a QR code now shows the program name, exercise count, and a few exercise names before anything is added to your library. After confirming, you can open the imported program or exercises directly.

Clearer Feedback & Accessibility

Success and error messages use consistent green and red colors, failed sections explain what went wrong instead of going blank, and icon buttons are announced properly by VoiceOver and TalkBack. App bar icons and headings also meet contrast expectations on light backgrounds.

Faster Media & Smoother Exercise Lists

Exercise images and videos stay cached instead of re-downloading about once an hour, video previews play smoothly without jumping back to the start, and pull-to-refresh keeps its spinner until fresh content has actually loaded.

Pass & Sharing Polish

Your own passes without a description now say "No description yet" instead of claiming they were created by your clinic, clinic passes no longer show a rename button that couldn't work, and exercises shared by a colleague always land in your library.

Rep-Based Exercises & Clearer Workout Timers

Exercises without a set duration now wait for you to advance and show the repetition count instead of flashing past, and workout timers display as a clear mm:ss (e.g. 02:30). Your workout settings also stay put when you change them at startup.

Sign In With More Email Addresses

Sign-up and sign-in now accept addresses on newer domains (like .health or .clinic) and +-aliased emails that were previously rejected.

Stability & Editing Fixes

Opening exercise info no longer crashes for exercises without a dedicated guide, typing a pass name or description is no longer interrupted when you add an exercise, logging out lands you cleanly in guest mode, and the discard-changes dialog now protects your edits by default.

Delete Your Account In-App

You can now permanently delete your account and all your data from inside the app, under Settings → "Delete account". A clear confirmation step explains that deletion is permanent.

June 2026

Startup and Voice-Note Stability Fixes

A brief server hiccup right after opening the app no longer leaves you without a working session — sign-in now retries automatically. We also fixed a rare crash that could happen when playing an exercise voice note.

Branded Exercise Handouts

Your exercise handouts now lead with your clinic's logo and name, you can give them your own accent colour, and Pro removes the "created with Physiopass" mark. Your logo and name also appear on the program screen your patients see.

Introduction Tour Restored and Expanded

The in-app introduction tour shows its illustrations again — they had been appearing blank — and now walks you through more of the app across seven steps: programs, exercises, sharing, scanning, workouts, progress tracking and the AI assistant.

App Version in Settings

You can now see the installed app version at the bottom of the More screen.

May 2026

Tidier Voice Note Deletion

Deleting a voice note from an exercise now clears the delete button along with the note, instead of leaving the trash icon on screen after the note is already gone.

Steadier PDF Export and PhysioAI

Sharing an exercise program as a PDF now holds up on slow cellular connections — images get more time and an automatic retry, and you're told if any couldn't be loaded instead of them silently going missing. Asking PhysioAI a question is also safe now if you leave the screen before the answer arrives.

Crash Fixes for a More Stable Experience

Several rare but fatal crashes have been resolved: network timeouts from Supabase no longer take down the app, the session-expired dialog appears correctly again, voice notes on exercises are safe to tap, and reminder settings can be saved even when device notifications are turned off.

Guest Programs and Exercises Now Load Correctly

Default programs (Hip, Knee, Neck, Back, Shoulder) and exercises now appear correctly when browsing as a guest — a filter gap introduced when the Programs tab was unlocked has been resolved.

Redesigned Guest Home and Settings

The guest home now leads with four unlocked actions — Log Activity, Programs, Exercises, and Take the tour — and a richer sign-up card beneath shows exactly what an account unlocks. The More tab follows the same pattern, putting Settings on top with the sign-up prompt below.

Try the Full Workout Loop as a Guest

Guests can now browse default programs and exercises, run full workouts, and log their activities before creating an account. When they sign up, everything they tracked stays attached — no migration, no lost progress.

Smarter Sign-Up Nudges for Guests

A new Log Activity quick action on the guest home, a streak-focused activity hero for first-time users, an account benefits preview on the profile tab, and subtle sign-up whispers after workout completion — all designed to convert guests at the right moment without nagging.

Clearer Therapist-to-Patient Handoff

When you invite a patient who hasn't signed up yet, the app now gives you a verbatim script to share — including their email — so they know exactly what to do.

Explore Without Signing Up

The app now opens straight to the home screen — no login wall. New users get a silent guest session and can browse exercises, programs, and the AI assistant before creating an account. Contextual prompts explain when an account is needed.

Session Expired Protection

When your session expires, the app now shows a clear re-authentication overlay instead of silently dropping you to a guest account. Your data stays safe while you sign back in.

Warmer, Friendlier Copy

App text has been refreshed across all 7 languages with warmer greetings, encouraging celebration messages, and more conversational success toasts — the app now feels more like a supportive coach.

Website SEO & Polish

The website now features a FAQ section, optimized images (83% smaller), structured data for rich search results, and locale-specific landing pages for all 7 languages.

Invite Screen Stability Fix

Fixed a crash on the invites screen that could occur on Android devices when loading or error states were displayed inside a scroll view.

Redesigned Patient Connections

The patient invite screen has been completely redesigned with real-time status updates, inline error messages, confirmation dialogs for disconnecting, and a share link to onboard new patients. Sign-up now correctly redirects to the home screen.

Gender-Neutral Language

German text throughout the app now uses gender-neutral phrasing, referencing 'Praxis' instead of gendered therapist forms and using the inclusive colon notation (Therapeut:in) for role labels.

Exercise Filter Chips & UI Polish

Active exercise filters like 'only custom' or 'only auto-generated' now appear as removable chips above the list, making it easy to see and clear what's filtered. The community banner and exercise list spacing have been refined for a cleaner look.

Community Exercise Library

Browse exercises shared by other therapists in a new Community tab. Add any exercise to your own library with one tap — it's copied as a snapshot you fully own. A Code of Conduct notice ensures you verify exercises before assigning them to patients.

Localized Reminder Notifications

Push notifications and the Android reminders channel now use your chosen app language instead of always showing in German.

Visual Polish

Exercise list sections now have clear headers, bottom sheets use a consistent background color, and the exercise detail menu is cleaner with dividers between actions.

April 2026

Activity Tab Reimagined

The activity tab now opens with a 30-day overview: a hero count of your active days, total and average minutes, current streak, and a calendar grid shaded by training intensity. Recent entries are easier to scan and can be removed with a swipe.

Clearer Pass Tab Hint

The hint above your programs and exercises is now a tinted tip card with a sparkle icon, so the guidance stands out from the list below it.

Active Card Stays In View

On long workouts, the active exercise card now stays fully visible instead of drifting off the bottom of the screen as you advance through exercises.

March 2026

Stopwatch & Share Fixes

The workout stopwatch no longer double-starts when the instruction modal is closed. 'Share All' on the pass detail screen now correctly includes every exercise.

Improved Onboarding Flow

Onboarding now walks you through feature highlights before asking you to choose your role, making the first experience smoother and more informative.

Faster Login

Profile settings are no longer reloaded on every login after initial setup, reducing unnecessary network requests.

Reliable PDF Sharing

Generating and sharing a PDF handout is now more reliable: double-tapping the button is safely ignored, layout spacing in the PDF is corrected, and individual image load failures no longer block the entire PDF.

Login Stability Fix

Fixed a potential crash at login caused by accessing a disposed widget's state after a network operation completed.

Consistent Workout Customization

Starting a workout from the pass detail screen now correctly respects your "Customize before workout" setting, so you can always adjust rounds and duration before beginning — regardless of where you start.

Faster Image Loading

Exercise and activity lists now fetch all signed image URLs in a single batch request, making list views noticeably faster to load.

Workout Precision & Clarity

The exercise counter now shows the correct completed count on the last exercise, the timer can no longer show negative seconds, and the customize screen labels duration as "Per round" for clearer multi-round workouts.

Exercise Editing & Stability

Editing or duplicating an exercise no longer loses manual steps or image slots. Unknown data values no longer crash the app on load, and activity summaries now appear before the PhysioAI card on the home screen.

Fine-Tune Workout Duration

Workout customization now lets you adjust exercise duration in 5-second increments for more precise control over your training.

Improved Mood Chart

The mood chart now shows a labeled y-axis and caps bars at 60 minutes for clearer readability at a glance.

Reliable Error Feedback Everywhere

Workout history now saves reliably even on spotty connections. Deleting an activity or exercise shows a clear error on failure instead of silently freezing. PhysioAI displays a retry option when response generation fails.

Language-Aware Exercise Filtering

Exercise lists now show only exercises in your app language by default. A new language filter in the filter dialog lets you choose which languages to include, so you always find exercises you can read.

Programs Screen Guidance

The programs screen now shows helpful subtitles on each tab and an info button that explains what programs and exercises are.

Workout Volume in Charts & Activity Screen

Home charts now show how long you trained each day as bar height, with your mood emoji on top. Streak tiles display per-day minutes, and the activity summary shows total and average training minutes over the last 30 days.

Shorter Workout Labels & Stability Fixes

Workout progress now shows shorter, clearer labels for a cleaner look. Fixed a rare crash when navigating away from exercise filters or the auth screen.

Pro Subscription Foundation & Usage Display

Free tier now has clear exercise (30) and pass (10) limits with friendly upgrade nudges. A new 'Your Plan' section on the profile screen shows your current usage with visual progress bars. Exercise images and pass tiles load faster thanks to batched URL prefetching.

Reliable Workout Sounds & Improved QR Scanner

Workout sounds now play reliably throughout the entire session, even during rapid exercise transitions. The QR scanner uses a cleaner inline camera viewfinder instead of a full-screen overlay.

Distinct Workout Sounds & Activity Fixes

Workouts now play different sounds for starting an exercise, completing one, and finishing the session. The activity mood chart handles missing data gracefully, the date picker matches your device locale, and you can now set up to 99 rounds per exercise.

Improved Workout Sound

The workout timer now plays a clearer bell notification sound when transitioning between exercises, breaks, and completion.

Paginated Activity List & UX Polish

The activity list now loads progressively with infinite scroll for faster performance. Pass search shows a proper empty state, and bulk exercise deletion gives clear success or error feedback.

Workout Customization & Get-Ready Countdown

Before starting a workout, you can now adjust rounds, minutes, and break duration per exercise. A 5-second "Get Ready" countdown plays before the timer begins (tap to skip). Workout beeps also play with the iOS mute switch on. Both features are toggleable in workout settings.

Redesigned Workout Exercise Cards

Workout exercise cards now show a larger image on the left with the name and timer beside it. Break cards display the next exercise preview side-by-side, and tapping the active card opens the full instructions.

Pass Creation & Exercise Fixes

The pass creation form now pre-fills a default name and restores your input when navigating back. Duplicating an exercise without a voice note no longer causes an error.

Fresh Branding & Improved Onboarding

The app has a brand-new icon, splash screen, and launch images with a refined purple look. Onboarding now shows beautiful full-screen feature images instead of text slides, making the first experience more visual and engaging.

Smarter Exercise Picker & UI Polish

The activity exercise picker now has a search field and a recently-used section for faster selection. Disabled buttons show a clear gray style, sign-in errors appear inline, and the rename pass dialog opens pre-filled.

All Preferences Sync Across Devices

Notification, workout autoplay, sound effect, and language preferences now sync across all your devices — no more reconfiguring after a reinstall or device switch.

Cross-Device Settings & In-App Feedback

Your analytics consent and onboarding preferences now sync across devices and reinstalls. You can also submit feedback directly from the profile screen via a new built-in form.

Workout Break Timer & Continuous Header Clock

The workout timer now runs continuously through exercises and breaks. Exercises transition into a break phase with a countdown, progress bar, and a preview of the next exercise. You can manually start a break or skip to the next exercise with new action buttons.

Fullscreen Image Viewer & Smarter Exercise Filters

Tap any exercise image to view it fullscreen with swipe navigation. A new 'Only auto-generated exercises' filter makes it easy to browse the AI-generated library, and filter chips now respond reliably to taps.

Login & Sign-up Improvements

Sign-in and sign-up modals stay visible above the keyboard on iPhone. Sign-up now detects already-registered emails and shows clear rate limit messages instead of generic errors.

Programs & Exercises Tabs with Bulk Delete

The Programs screen now has a segmented control to switch between Programs and Exercises. You can search programs by name and delete multiple selected exercises at once from the app bar.

Navigation Stability Fixes

Deleting or dismissing exercises no longer causes a black screen, regardless of how you navigated to the exercise.

Redesigned Workout Screen

The workout view has been completely refreshed with compact exercise cards that expand when selected, cleaner icon-based controls, and a full reset button that restarts your session from scratch.

Background Music & Login Improvements

Workout sounds no longer interrupt your background music. The login and sign-up screens have been redesigned for a smoother experience, and guest login now works reliably.

Fresh Purple Look & Stability Fixes

The app has a fresh violet-purple colour scheme. Exercise and pass detail screens are now more resilient, and the workout view only shows the top fade effect after scrolling for a cleaner look.

Faster Exercise Lists & Smarter Sharing

Exercise lists now load progressively as you scroll for snappier performance. The share button on a pass shares all exercises in one tap, and the home screen adds quick-access buttons for creating exercises and opening the AI assistant.

Improved PDF Handouts & UI Polish

PDF handouts generate instantly with proper Lato typography and a dedicated share button. The recipient picker, navigation bar, and filter-empty states all received visual refinements.

Persistent Bottom Navigation

The bottom navigation bar now stays visible on all screens, and each tab remembers where you left off when switching between tabs.

Exercise & Sharing Fixes

Editing a custom exercise now refreshes correctly, and the PDF preview and QR code share modals have better sizing for easier use.

Legal & Privacy Improvements

Privacy policy is now accessible during onboarding, legal documents have been updated across all languages, and the website cookie consent now references the applicable legal basis.

Dutch Website Language

The website is now available in Dutch, bringing the total to seven supported languages.

Better Error Handling

Exercise, pass, and profile screens now show clear error messages when something goes wrong, instead of failing silently.

iPad & Tablet Support

The app now looks great on iPads and tablets with proper content width, landscape rotation, and better-fitting auth and onboarding screens.

Reliable QR Scanning

QR scan now waits for exercises to fully save before confirming success, and shows an error screen with retry if something goes wrong.

Sharing & Pass Improvements

Registered patients can now share individual exercises, empty passes show a helpful message, and therapists can no longer accidentally save a pass with zero exercises.

February 2026

Accurate Workout Logging

Workouts now only save the exercises you actually completed, and the activity date picker no longer silently stamps the wrong date.

Clearer Error Feedback

Exercise save now shows a clear error message on network failure, and the invite status snackbar uses the correct color so you always know what happened.

Invite Button Fix

Invite action buttons now reliably match the current invite status, preventing mismatched actions.

No More Duplicate Saves

Double-tapping the save button no longer creates duplicate exercises — the button disables during save.

Improved Activity Design

Activity list tiles are easier to read with larger date text, bolder typography, and tighter spacing.

Better Sign-up Errors

The sign-up form now shows specific messages for invalid email, weak password, or password mismatch instead of generic errors.

Guest Account Improvements

Guest banners appear on more screens, the logout dialog offers login and create account options, and language is clearer.

Seamless Guest Upgrade

Guest users can now upgrade to a full account without losing any exercises, passes, or activity data.

Redesigned Onboarding

New users choose their role with clear labels during onboarding, and the home screen loads with smooth skeleton animations instead of flickering.

Native iOS Experience

The entire app now uses iOS-native dialogs, transitions, and icons for a polished, platform-authentic feel.

Smarter AI Assistant

The AI assistant now uses Anthropic Claude for better multilingual answers, with a redesigned screen and readable formatting.

Six Languages

The app is now available in German, English, Spanish, Catalan, French, and Italian — including Dutch support added later.

Recent Workouts & More

Replay recent workouts with one tap, collapse exercise sections, switch languages from settings, and enjoy a new onboarding tour.

Backend Migration

Activities, passes, and authentication now run on a faster, more reliable backend.

October 2025

Spanish Language Support

The app is now available in Spanish, bringing the total supported languages to three.
